The Ardex WJ50 Cementitious Coloured Wide Grout Joint can be used to tile walls and floors both inside and outside a building. Also, the Ardex WJ50 Cementitious Coloured Wide Grout Joint has a special additive that helps reduce efflorescence and keeps the colour at a higher standard.
A sanded, cement-based tile grout that can be used in spaces from 2 mm to 50 mm wide without shrinking. Easy to use and gives great colour stability. The Ardex WJ50 Cementitious Coloured Wide Grout Joint is a sanded cement tile grout that can be bought in 5 and 20 kilogram quantities. It works perfectly in joints with widths ranging from 2 millimetres to 50 millimetres without shrinking. Amazingly easy to use!

How to Use Ardex WJ50 Cementitious Coloured Wide Grout Joint - 5kg Quantity:
MIXING- Ardex WJ50 Cementitious Coloured Wide Grout Joint - 5kgs powder is added to clean water in a clean container whilst stirring thoroughly to give a lump-free, firm, low-slump mortar.
- Allow to stand for 2 minutes and remix prior to application.
- A 20kg bag of ARDEX WJ 50 requires approximately 3.6 litres of water. Grout may be re-stirred occasionally, but do not add additional water.
- The pot life of the mixed mortar is approximately 1 hour at 23°C and 50% relative humidity.
- For swimming pools and use over timber floors, mix ARDEX WJ 50 Off White with approximately 4 litres of undiluted ARDEX Grout Booster.
- For 20kg bags, multiply measurements by 4x. However, we recommend working in batches of 5kg.
APPLICATION
- Work the grout into the joints using a rubber trowel.
- Compact the grout firmly into the joints ensuring they are completely filled, minimising the amount left on the tile surface.
- Allow the grout to firm up in the joint before clean-up.
- Wipe the tile surface with a damp dense sponge, working diagonally across tile joints.
- Use a minimum amount of water to avoid water float and/or shade variation, efflorescence, and shrinkage.
- Any dry film remaining on the tile surface can be removed when the grout has hardened in the joints by polishing the tile surface with a dry cloth, making sure no smears are left on the surface.
- For best results in warm conditions, keep the joints damp with clean water after hardening begins to ensure correct hydration/curing.
- In exterior conditions, it is essential to provide protection from all extremes of climate during the whole fixing and grouting operation and for as long as possible afterward.
- All tools should be cleaned with water immediately after use.
DRYING TIME
Approximately 24 hours at 23°C and 50% relative humidity. Grout joints can be sealed once fully dried, usually after 24 hours. Allow longer for dense tiles, lower temperatures, or high relative humidity.
NOTE: Do not use Ardex WJ50 Cementitious Coloured Wide Grout Joint for chemical resistant joints, use ARDEX epoxy grouts.
Ardex WJ50 Cementitious Coloured Wide Grout Joint does not guarantee against shade variations and efflorescence caused by factors beyond its control, including the nature of cement, job site conditions, and finishing techniques, and uneven drying conditions.
